Vizio 32″ LED HDTV Help?
I’m looking to buy a nice 32″ LED Vizio, and I work at Walmart so I’m buying from there because I get the discount, however I’ve run into a problem. One TV says “Vizio 32″ Razor Class LED-LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV, (1.69″ ultra-slim) M320NV-CA” and the other “Vizio 32″ Razor Class LED-LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV, (1.61″ ultra-thin) M320VT-MX.” They both look the same on the ad, but what is different about the M320NV-CA compared to the M320VT-MX???? They are both same price so I figured I’d find out what the better deal is. Thanks!
The M320NV-CA has a response time of 5ms vs 8ms for the M320VT-MX. The CA one also list twice the contrast ratio, not that either number is believable. Testers have found that this number is mostly pulled from someones keister.
On the other hand, the CA one only has two HDMI inputs while the MX one has four. This may or may not be an issue. Both have optical audio out so you can forward the sound to the home theater.
One of the things to do is check them for motion blur. I use a sports ticker for that. Is the text clear or blurry?
Cheap hdtv 25 inch – Cheap hdtv
Why does my PS3 lag offline on most games on 23 inch full 1080p LED PC monitor ?
So for 2 years I’ve played on my PC which was a very powerful rig ! But recently last week, I bought a PS3 Slim & I’ve been noticing some lag (basically rendering lag,) on most games like KZ2 (appears to run in about 35 to 40 fps & not 60), Fallout 3 GOTY (same problem), etc ! Overall the gameplay is smooth & fps are constant but it feels to me that I’m getting about 35-40 fps on all games & not more than that ! Why is this so ? Is it because I’ve been gaming on my powerful PC rig in the past @ 60fps ? Is it because of my small size of PC monitor (using HDMI though !)? Can someone name me some games that run a.) full 1080p b.) 60fps constant (a. & b. can be different) ? It’s getting more than enough air-flow as I’ve placed a big *** giant table fan in front of it & after touching it for more than 5 hour, I can safely say it’s not overheating or getting hot AT ALL !! It’s mildly hot (but as you’d except, not more) !
What do you guys think is it me being paranoid (especially because I gamed on my powerful PC for so long) ? Is this the same feeling everyone gets while playing ? Or is it just me ? Will buying a 40+ inch HDTV solve my problem to some extent ! PLz.. tell me the cheapest price of a 40 inch full HDTV (don’t care about company/manufacturer, i just want an estimation of cheapest quality 40inch HDTV) ? What do you think ? Can this be because of a cheap HDMI cable (red in colour)
Any PC gamer turned to PS3 gamer’s advice would be really helpful, also someone gaming a PS3 on 25 inch or low monitor advice would be appreciated !
buy a 360 problem solved.

Hdtv televisions plasma – Hdtv televisions
Do you think the price of Plasma/HDTV televisions will go down anytime soon? If so, when?
I still can’t believe those things, on the lower end, range from $500-1,999. Jeebus. Do you think they will be like DVD players etc? Remember when those and printers were expensive..now they are soooooooo much cheaper.
Vizio is a great brand. Their 42″ Plasma HDTV runs a low $799. The only downside is that it has a terrible reflection and glare ratio.
That’s why some Plasma HDTV are more expensive. The less the glare, the higher the price.
There should be huge savings on the 4th of July. So wait till then.

Plasma HDTV?
I just recently bought a Vizio 42″ plasma hdtv and I have a few questions to ask..
1) I have been hearing that playing games on a plasma will burn the image on the screeen while a lcd hdtv doesnt have that problem..is this true? and to what extent
2) Does DTV look better on a hdtv compared to a regular tv? or does it not matter because the only real difference is if I get HDTV service
thanks in advance
The risk of burn in has decreased greatly since many years ago when plasma technology was first introduced.
You can play games on your plasma and not worry too much about burn in. However, I would not recommend leaving the game paused and screen on if you will be leaving for a while. If you are going to do this, turn the screen off while the game is paused.
In addition, try to not limit yourself to one “source”. For example, do not only play “Oblivion” on XBOX 360 as the same reoccuring images could cause the screen to burn in unevenly over a long period of time.
Even so, I use to work in retail and the Plasmas were left on over 12 hours a day. I had never seen a single one with a case of burn in. It would take severe neglect to get burn in on a new set. Just don’t leave on vacation with your video game paused and you will be fine!
You may see some image retention. This can happen on LCDs and plasmas. It is a form of burn in which is short term. After the screen changes to display something else, the afterimage will disappear.
As per your second question, DTV may look a bit better depending on the plasmas upconversion circuitry. However, the difference is not going to be great. DTV stations will be free from “ghosting” and all the noise effects you are used to if you get analog cable or use an antenna. So the lack of noise is the main difference. I highly recommend looking into OTA HD service(free) to get local channels in HD if you are not interested in paying for premium HD channels. You will be suprised at the results that can be achieved with a simple “rabbit ears” antenna.
Go to www.antennaweb.org to find out what direction is best to aim your antenns and which stations will be the easier to pick up from your house. It’s great information and well worth a look.

Will using energy saving mode on a Plasma HDTV increase its durability?
Considering that high-def tv’s with the energy star consume 30% less energy, will using the energy save option on a regular basis also increase the life-span of the tv before it loses half it’s brightness? I was told that newer tv’s usually last 60,000-100,000 hours before fading. Thanks!
Turning down cell light and contrast will increase the overall life of the unit. 50/100 or lower contrast is ideal, but could make your picture a bit too dark to see clearly. 75 or lower should be fine. Anything that causes the contrast and/or cell light to become lower will increase the life as well, so yes, power save will help, because you literally aren’t burning the phosphors as bright.
Lcd hdtv or plasma – Lcd hdtv
Does windows Vista look better in LCD/plasma HDTV or just standard LCD monitor?
I went to microsoft exhibition and they showed Vista all in either LCD HDTV or plasma HDTV, and they look real sharp and nice. I am currently considering upgrading my CRT to an LCD monitor, but after looking at that, I need some second opinions. Thanks.
LCDs tend to have better picture quality and color. Also they are a lot smaller so they fit better on compact places.

HDTV Monitor from USA to Ireland (Europe)?
Hi, Westinghouse 37″/42″ 1080p LCD Monitor. What i am wondering is will this work in Ireland (Europe) if I purchase it in the USA. Please see my previous related question: _http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20080107122641AAZEB3u. However this now focuses on a HDTV Monitor purchased in USA. Will the same restrictions apply here, or will a signal coming through an Irish Digital box work on this TV without issues???
You will need to purchase a PAL to NTSC converter or contact Westinghouse and ask if they have a firmware that will change the TV to become compatible with PAL video system instead of NTSC.
If not, it’s best to purchase the TV in Europe or get a PAL to NTSC converter that will be connected between the European converter box and the television.
